Information about this year’s translation competition can be found here.

The catagories for this years translation competition are:

❖ Beginner Ancient Greek - Open to students who are currently enrolled in GREK2120

❖ Beginner Latin - Open to students who are currently enrolled in LATN2120

❖ Open Ancient Greek - Open to all students who have studied past first year Ancient Greek.

❖ Open Latin - Open to students who have studied past first year Latin.

Eligibility Criteria

❖ You must be a current student at UQ and have completed at least 2 units of Classical Languages courses at UQ.

Conditions of Entry & Submission

❖ All entries must be original translations – use of a dictionary is permitted.

❖ All entries must be accompanied by your name, year of study, and the course code(s) of the GREK and/or LATN course(s) you are currently enrolled in or have completed most recently at UQ.

❖ All entries must be submitted to the Vice President of Classical Languages, Alex van Vugt, via email a.vanvugt@student.uq.edu.au by 11:59pm, Friday the 25th of September (Week 9).
